Elisabeth Commanday Swim has a Master's degree in music and thousands of teaching hours of experience with people aged 0-75. Lessons with Elisabeth are therapeutic and suitable for people with anxiety, ADD, ADHD and people who are on the autism spectrum. 
COVID-19 precautions: I sanitize work and transport surfaces, keep my vaccines up-to-date. I test my blood oxygen and take my temperature twice a day, and test early if I suspect any contact with the pandemic virus. Your family's health and well-being are important to me!

As a backup to in-person lessons, or as a main learning channel, online lessons are always an option. 

Elisabeth Commanday Swim, M.A. has been teaching music in Houston, TX for 10 years.
Working from her students' strengths, Elisabeth guides them through the dynamic challenges of singing, reading and playing music.  During the current global pandemic, she has developed a multi-sensory style of teaching lessons online that bolsters parent-child relationships and her students’ love of music.

Founder of the Secret Choir, Elisabeth led Fun Group Singing in arts spaces around Houston, funded by a grant from the Houston Arts Alliance. National Museum of Math premiered Elisabeth’s original song Magnitudes of Ten in its 2021 Open Set concert program.

Also known as Bhaag Kaur, Ms. Swim studies Gurbani worship music, and volunteers as a musician in the Punjabi Sikh community. She has performed locally with the Nontraditionals at Via Colori and she won the A.R. Rahman singing competition held in Sugar Land in 2010. Known for her lyrical ability to capture a mood, Elisabeth writes and produces custom songs for special occasions.
